Cooking with Electricity

The world of culinary arts is vast and exciting. A plethora of dishes await the curious palate. Today we will be learning about ways to integrate an exciting new ingredient into our already wide range of delicious selections. This new ingredient will add a whole new element to your dining pleasure.
Most people use this marvelous little creation for powering their Television remotes and their MP3 players, but, recently I was introduced to a new way to utilize these already useful devices. Batteries, AA, AAA, C, D, and various other types can all be used to further enhance any person’s already considerable cooking skills. From marinades to soups of a most delectable variety these modern marvels will accentuate the blandest of foods.
Preparation for this most unusual of sauces begins with appropriating the necessary ingredients. For each different type of dish a separate variety of battery is recommended. Now while this variation is not the most important part of the process, it does hold a large role in the taste of the dish. As an example, a AAA battery is best suited for a dipping sauce whereas AA’s are more recommended for a baked good situation. In this case, we will be focusing on the D cell.
Many among us have had the distinct pleasure of cooking and later devouring meatloaf. This particular recipe is well suited to the alkaline D cell; this is because few D cells are needed for the preparation making the endeavor easier and cheaper. Remember that the type of battery is important. An alkaline D cell battery is necessary for this recipe. The ingredients needed are as follows:
- 1 ½ lbs ground beef
- 3 slices bread, torn into small pieces
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 small onion, chopped( about ¼ cup)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon dry mustard
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ rubbed sage
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ cup of battery liquid( base)

Once you collected all your ingredients, there is only a small matter to be resolved before carrying on to the cooking. The actual retrieval of the batteries base involves a trick that only experience will grant you surety with. The first thing you must do is acquire a distilling device. Any sort will do fine. The next thing you need to do is slice your battery in half. A hacksaw will do finely. Do not use a blowtorch; this will reseal your battery leaving you at 1st base. Once your battery has been properly opened place it inside of your still and begin the process of extracting the potassium hydroxide. Once this is finished, you have all the ingredients to make a fantastic meatloaf.
